Kayaking in the Faroe Islands is a wonderful way to explore the natural beauty of the islands at sea level and see the stunning landscape from a whole different perspective. The kayaks are sea-kayaks that are very safe, guests will be in either double or single kayaks. All abilities will be catered for with either Novice Sessions or Intermediate and Above Sessions.
Put things back in to perspective as you paddle below sea cliffs that rise 2,500ft straight out of the water.
At a festival dedicated to hitting some serious trails, this is a great opportunity to rest weary legs whilst still getting out there.
Return transport from central Tórshavn to the paddling site.
Kayaking equipment including a dry suit.
Kayaking instruction/guiding.
What should I bring/wear?
A warm mid-layer to wear under the drysuit.
Wet Shoes/Trainers you don't mind getting wet.
Warm hat and gloves.
Towel and change of clothes.
How do I get there?
Transport is provided from central Tórshavn. The meeting point will be at Perlan in the centre of town - the exact pick-up time will be emailed in advance of the event.
Which session is suitable for me?
Novice Sessions are suitable for either confident first-time kayakers or those with a few sessions under their belts. It is also a great option for those who are a little nervous about paddling in the open sea. These sessions are 2-2.5 hours (not including travel time).
Intermediate & Above Sessions are suitable for those with prior experience or those that are very confident in kayaking in the open sea. Guests should be confident in using the kayak spray deck if required. These sessions are 3 hours (not including travel time).
